Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and
sport in Europe. Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities
for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and
volunteer abroad.
The Erasmus Programme (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme established in 1987. Erasmus+,
or Erasmus Plus, is the new programme combining all the EU's current
schemes for education, training, youth and sport, which was started in
January 2014.
MPEI started to participate in Erasmus+ Programme in 2015
by submitting several joint applications with partner-universities from
European countries in the direction of Credit Mobility and obtained
favourable decisions of the European Commission on financing.
